Trauma Education
Prehospital personnel provide the vital link between injury and transport to definitive care for trauma patients. They face a difficult, often hazardous work environment; recruitment and retention are perennial challenges for EMS systems. Like other healthcare providers, prehospital personnel must have access to high quality education and simulation to ensure optimal patient outcomes, foster professional growth and achieve an engaged workforce. Through partnership with the Georgia Emergency Medical Services Association, the Georgia Trauma Commission funds numerous educational opportunities throughout Georgia.
