GQIP Winter Meeting FAQ

  • Am I required to attend all days on the schedule?

    Monday

    Welcome Reception: Optional

    Tuesday

    Full day tied to the 2023 PBP criteria. If required attendees do not participate, the center is at risk of losing allocated funds. There will not be a virtual option.

    Wednesday

    Georgia Trauma Commission Meeting: Optional, but encouraged. Not tied to PBP funding. Virtual option available.

    GCTE Meeting: Only TPM attendance is tied to PBP funding, but other attendees welcome and encouraged. Virtual option available.

  • Are registrars allowed to attend this year?

    While there is no registry-specific content planned for the GQIP Winter Meeting, registrars are welcome to attend to learn about the ArborMetrix project.

  • I am a required attendee and unable to attend. What should I do?

    Please notify the Georgia Trauma Commission immediately. Required attendee absence will result in loss of funding.

  • I am a required attendee, am I required to attend all of Tuesday events?

    Required attendees are required to attend all GQIP* content and their appropriate Committee meetings. Attendees do not have to attend a committee if they are not currently part of the group.

    • LIII/IV Committee: LIII/IV TPMs, TMDs, Administrators. Contracted centers must have at least one center representative at the meeting.*
    • Trauma Administrators: All appointed Trauma Administrators must attend*
    • Trauma Medical Directors Committee: All TMDs must attend*
    • GCTE: All TPMs must attend (virtual option)*

  • I am only attending the Wednesday GCTE meeting. Do I need to register?

    No, if you are only attending the GCTE meeting Wednesday afternoon. You do not need to pay the registration fee. We will send out a separate in-person RSVP for the GCTE meeting. There will be a virtual option, but with A/V limitations we cannot guarantee a seamless virtual experience. We encourage you to attend in-person!

  • My facility does not receive any funds from the Georgia Trauma Commission (contracted/grant). Am I still required to come?

    Currently, funded Trauma Centers are required per their funding agreements (contracts/grants) with the Georgia Trauma Commission. Unfunded Trauma Centers are not required to attend, but encouraged. 

  • My center is undesignated, can we attend?

    At this time, our GQIP meetings are for participating designated trauma centers. 

  • Will there be another Finance Workshop?

    We will not have a Finance Workshop in our 2023 Winter Meeting. In the future, we look forward to providing a separate Finance Workshop Part II virtual event.

  • Is there a virtual option?

    In-person attendance is required for Tuesday. There will not be a virtual option.

    We will have virtual options for Wednesday, Georgia Trauma Commission Meeting and GCTE Meeting

  • What is the dress code?
