EMS & Trauma Education Program Contractor Position Open
The Georgia Trauma Commission (GTC) seeks an experienced and highly adaptable EMS educator to support statewide trauma and emergency medical services (EMS) education initiatives. This contractor will coordinate, monitor, and enhance the implementation of EMS education funding across multiple vendors, ensuring high-quality, accessible, and data-driven training opportunities for prehospital and hospital-based providers throughout Georgia.
This position requires a contractor who can flex their schedule and respond to emerging training needs, including trauma education requests from GCTE, the EMS Committee, RTACs, and other GTC-affiliated partners. The contractor will also support hospital-based trauma education, such as the Augusta University rural trauma simulation program and other trauma center–led training initiatives.
The contractor will collaborate closely with the GTC, the EMS Committee, the Office of EMS and Trauma (OEMS), Regional Trauma Advisory Committees (RTACs), trauma centers, and educational partners to ensure that all programs align with the GTC’s mission to reduce preventable deaths and disabilities through improved trauma care.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current Georgia-licensed Paramedic.
- Current Georgia-licensed EMS Instructor / Educator.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in EMS education, including classroom, lab, and field instruction.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in EMS education program administration.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructor mentorship, and quality improvement in educational programs.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
- Willingness to travel throughout the state for meetings, classes, and events.
