Sarah F. Parker, RN, BSN, TCRN serves as the Performance Improvement Specialist for the Georgia Quality Improvement Program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Emory University where she graduated summa cum laude in 2009. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at what is now Piedmont Columbus, where she developed a strong foundation in emergency and trauma care, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Over the next several years, Sarah held roles in pediatric emergency nursing at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, school nurse at Morgan County High School, as well as data abstraction & performance improvement roles within the Trauma Program at Grady Memorial Hospital.

After serving as the Trauma Registry Manager at Grady, Sarah transitioned to become the Trauma Program Director, and from 2019-2023 she had the distinct pleasure of supporting the Grady Trauma Program & Grady senior leadership through Grady’s transition to become the busiest ACS verified Level I academic trauma center in the United States. Sarah is a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), and she has supported numerous initiatives focused on improving transitions of care, reducing hospital-acquired conditions, improving compliance with evidence-based guidelines & ACS requirements, optimizing trauma program operations, and enhancing data quality within the trauma program. 

In 2025, Sarah joined the Georgia Quality Improvement Program where she applies her clinical expertise and quality improvement knowledge to support data-driven performance improvement initiatives to improve care quality and enhance outcomes across trauma centers in Georgia. She is passionate about optimizing relationships and processes to promote excellence.
