Dr. Alicia Register was raised in Fayetteville, Georgia, and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from the University of Georgia. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta campus, and completed her general surgery residency at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, Georgia.

Since 2019, Dr. Register has served as a general surgeon at Crisp Regional Medical Center in Cordele, Georgia, where she is the Trauma Medical Director of the state-designated Level III trauma center. She currently chairs the Georgia Trauma Commission Level III/IV Committee and has been a longstanding contributor to rural trauma system development across the state.

Dr. Register is deeply committed to advancing rural trauma care and expanding access to high-quality surgical services in underserved communities throughout Georgia. Her clinical experience, leadership, and dedication to trauma system improvement bring a valuable perspective to the Georgia Trauma Commission.
